According to Mark Halperin, Hunter Biden prepared President Biden for his interview by George Stephanopoulos on ABC last night. Biden’s comments were marked by irrationality and detachment from reality throughout. That could be explained by Hunter’s role and he couldn’t have helped, but the irrationality and detachment from reality must have been overdetermined. Biden himself would have contributed gems such as “I’m the guy that shut Putin down.”
Biden himself might also have concocted the sole condition under which he would leave the race. That would be if “the Lord Almighty comes down” and told him to. His arrival is expected some time in the next seven days or so.
In some cases, however, Biden’s detachment from reality struck me as feigned, like Hamlet’s madness. Biden’s feigned madness served the purpose of evasion when Biden needed an out. Full video of the interview is below.
Biden’s performance inspired another classic New York Post cover. Here are the companion cover story and a related Post editorial.
Stephanopoulos of course served as the voice of the Democratic establishment. Their concern is limited to the damage Biden is doing to Democratic prospects in November. To state the obvious, were it otherwise they would all still by lyin’ for Biden.
As Bob Dole might have said: Annoy the media. Hang in there, Joe. You’re doing the Lord Almighty’s work. They can’t make you stop.
There is a correlative to the Lord’s imminent descent to whisper in Biden’s ear. That is the Kamala correlative. Vice President Harris is to be greeted as their (and therefore our) savior. The end times is nigh.
