Somehow this all reminded me of a Christian hymn for children, “I’ve Got the Joy Joy Joy Joy (Down in My Heart)” (video below, if you need to refresh yourself on the insipid melody) written in the 19th century by George W. Cooke. It fits, when you think about how the Democratic Party wants to reduce all of us to childlike status.
