Steve wrote earlier about the fact that virtually all of our corporate press outlets are government propaganda tools, akin to Tass or Pravda. Steve thinks the state media help Democrats, and cites evidence to that effect.
I am not so sure. How many people are actually influenced by the New York Times, CNN, The Washington Post, the ladies of the View, and so on? Those partisan outlets no doubt play a role by keeping left-wingers in a constant state of hysteria. But are they changing anyone’s mind? I think nearly everyone is on to them.
This clip from Stephen Colbert’s television show–he is a repellent character, by the way–illustrates my point:
Stephen Colbert: “I know you guys are objective over there (at CNN) that you just report the news as it is”
Kaitlan Collins: “That supposed to be a laugh line?”
Colbert: “It wasn’t supposed to be” pic.twitter.com/ZsqPinvMz3

Colbert actually said that line with a straight face, and seemed surprised when the audience laughed. I suppose the denizens of the Democratic Party media are the last to know.
