That’s the Spirit!

Spirit Airlines is now out of business. In financial trouble, it tried to merge with JetBlue in 2024. Joe Biden’s Department of Justice, spurred on by leftists like Elizabeth Warren, opposed and successfully blocked the merger:

A “Biden win”? That may be an oxymoron. The sequel is that Spirit Airlines has now gone out of business. So instead of preserving competition, Warren and her allies terminated it. Antitrust merger law has always recognized a “failing company” defense. With hindsight, that defense should have succeeded here. But it didn’t, likely due to misguided pressure from the Biden administration and Elizabeth Warren. Warren is now being mercilessly mocked, but it is too late.

That’s the bad news. The good news is that artificial intelligence isn’t completely useless. Not if it can produce videos like this one, where Marco Rubio takes over as CEO of Spirit. To fully appreciate it, you have to realize that Spirit is best known for brawls breaking out among its customers and between customers and employees:

It’s an ill wind that blows no good!
