The Democratic Party has become a cult. To be a member, you have to be willing to profess things that everyone knows are crazy. Men can breast feed! Socialism works great! It is precisely the obvious falsity of the Democrats’ claims that makes them useful as tokens of belonging.
But I’m not sure even the Democrats would ask you to pretend that Pete Buttigieg was a competent Secretary of Transportation.
