I don’t think we have written anything about Tyler Cherry, Joe Biden’s newly-appointed White House Associate Communications Director. Cherry is a worthy successor to Sam Brinton, the gay aide who augmented his wardrobe by stealing women’s suitcases from airport baggage carousels.
Well, we all have our quirks. Here is Mr. (I take it) Cherry:

You’ve got to hand it to Biden: when he really wants someone on his team, it’s damn the torpedoes.
Cherry has come under fire, not for his obvious eccentricities, which seem almost normal in Bidenville, but for his extreme political opinions. These Cherry tweets are painfully stupid:

There were others, too. But we don’t have screenshots for some of them because Cherry deleted 2,500 tweets between Sunday night and Monday morning. Contemplate that: 2,500. Among other things, Cherry is an out anti-Semite:
“Cheersing in bars to ending the occupation of Palestine – no shame and f— your glares #ISupportGaza #FreePalestine,” Cherry wrote on July 25, 2014.
In hopes of keeping his new job, Cherry is repudiating (as well as deleting) his bigoted history:
Past social media posts from when I was younger do not reflect my current views. Period. I support this Administration's agenda – and will continue my communications work focused on our climate and environmental policies.

To be fair, Cherry was indeed younger in 2015:

Talk about a cultural stereotype! But then: “In 2018, Cherry called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to be abolished.”
Does Cherry really regret his youthful bigotry? I doubt it. The views he has expressed over the years are typical of the left wing of the Democratic Party, which is essentially the only wing left. He just happened to preserve them on Twitter.
All of that said, Biden’s elevation of this joker seems puzzling. Does he really think that his administration might lose the wacko fringe vote to Donald Trump? Did the Sam Brinton experience not teach him anything?
Apparently not.
