Sophie Cunningham is the professional basketball player who over the last couple of weeks has become a leading figure in the world of memes.

But that’s not all! Last night in Las Vegas, she made her debut as a ring card girl.
First, a word of explanation. It is traditional in boxing, and now in mixed martial arts, for a pretty young woman to walk around the ring before each round, holding a sign that shows what round is coming up. Being a ring card girl is prestigious–in some circles, at least–but not usually remunerative. Lately the activity has gotten attention because Jaxson Dart, quarterback of the New York Giants, is dating a model/influencer/ring card girl:
So: last night, Sophie Cunningham was at a UFC event in Las Vegas:
Sophie Cunningham surprised everyone when she grabbed the ring card and gave her best ringside impression on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, strutting around the octagon holding it above her head with pride.

Cunningham grabbed the ring card, and all of the fans stood up in shock at what was happening.Cunningham was all smiles and giggles as she grabbed the card with full support from the ring girls.
The tall 6-foot-1 WNBA star went barefoot around the octagon side, wearing a black tank top and black shorts, with fans loving the surprise appearance.
“I love Sophie Cunningham,” [UFC owner Dana] White told reporters after the fight.
White revealed that the appearance was impromptu, with Cunningham talking to White “eight minutes” before she ended up walking onto the octagon side.
“She was like, ‘I want to do that,‘” White said. “I told her, ‘Then you will do it.’”
I have always liked ring card girls, mostly for the obvious reason but also because they, and their activity, embody the things liberals hate most. Conservatives like Sophie Cunningham because she is utterly unafraid of disapproval by the Left. Her brief stint as a ring card girl can only add to that reputation.
