It seems that one can best explain America’s immigration policies with the supposition that they were crafted by our enemies to do as much harm as possible. That thought is prompted by news that the niece and grand-niece of Iran’s arch terrorist, Gen. Qasem Soleimani, killed by an American missile during the first Trump administration, are to be deported:
The niece of slain Iranian mastermind Gen. Qasem Soleimani, who showcased her luxe LA lifestyle on Instagram while bashing the US as the “Great Satan,” was arrested along with her daughter by ICE agents, the State Department announced Saturday.
Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, who celebrated attacks on US soldiers and military bases in social media posts, and her daughter Sarinasadat Hosseiny, were nabbed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on Friday and had their green cards revoked over ties to the Iranian regime.
The obvious question being: what in the Hell were they doing here in the first place?
“While living in the United States, she promoted Iranian regime propaganda, celebrated attacks against American soldiers and military facilities in the Middle East, praised the new Iranian Supreme Leader, denounced America as the ‘Great Satan,’ and voiced her unflinching support for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terror organization,” a State Department letter confirming the arrests read.
Afshar may have reviled the U.S. as the Great Satan, but she herself reveled in a luxurious Los Angeles lifestyle, presumably courtesy of the oppressed people of Iran:
If she appeared in public looking like that in Soleimani’s Iran–no head scarf, not to mention being scantily clad–she would be in danger of having her eyes gouged out. No such worries here in “Satanic” America.
But to repeat: why were these people in the U.S. in the first place?
Afshar entered the US in 2015 on a tourist visa, was granted asylum in 2019 — before securing a green card in 2021 from the Biden administration.
She made at least four trips back to Iran since receiving her green card, the Department of Homeland Security said.
But wait! Why on Earth was Soleimani’s niece granted asylum? Isn’t the idea supposed to be that the asylum seeker would be in danger if he or she were in his or her own country? Obviously not, in this case. As reflected in the fact that she returned to Iran four times.
Immigration policies under the Biden administration were literally insane. Thank God we finally have sensible people in charge:
“The Trump Administration will not allow our country to become a home for foreign nationals who support anti-American terrorist regimes,” [Secretary of State Marco] Rubio wrote on X.
UPDATE: These are shots of the grandniece:
Nothing like the Great Satan for a good time. And nothing like having the world’s worst mass murderer in your family tree for that all-important knowledge of impunity.
