Jimmy Kimmel has a late night show on ABC. On his program the day before the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, Kimmel did a bit about the dinner that included this:
Jimmy Kimmel mocking Melania Trump at his alternate universe parody WH correspondence dinner saying ..
"OUR FIRST LADY, MELANIA IS HERE. LOOK AT MELANIA, SO BEAUTIFUL MRS. TRUMP, YOU HAVE A GLOW LIKE AN EXPECTANT WIDOW."

Following the correspondents’ event and the Left’s third assassination attempt on her husband, Melania Trump was not amused:
President Trump has joined Mrs. Trump in calling on ABC to fire Kimmel. Kimmel, meanwhile, has apologized:

Kimmel referred to “that widow joke” and later called it a “joke” and “comedy.” To be fair, he also acknowledged that he is one of those who “constantly put out anger.” But my question is, what is the joke? Where is the comedy? What is funny about describing Melania Trump as an “expectant widow?” What does it even mean? That she is pregnant? Obviously not. That she expects her husband to die? I guess that must be it. But there is no interpretation on which “you have a glow like an expectant widow” is funny. It was not intended as a joke.
Kimmel, like others in show business, hides behind the premise that he is a comedian. I don’t know, maybe at some point in his life he said something funny. But “expectant widow” was not a joke that went astray. It was never a joke at all. It was intended to elicit a laugh, or perhaps applause, at the idea of Donald Trump being dead. Its only purpose was to normalize the idea of chuckling at Trump’s death. Given that at least two murder attempts had already occurred, the idea that Trump’s death could well come at the hands of an assassin–ha ha ha–was the context of Kimmel’s speech, and was understood as such by his Trump-hating audience.
The Trumps are right. ABC should fire Kimmel. His conduct is disgraceful, and as a comedian he is a flop. Kimmel has lost much of his audience, and there is no apparent reason for keeping him on except as an in-kind contribution to the Democratic Party.
