Mrs. Rocket pointed me to this item from the Washington Post’s Reliable Source, indicating that some Frenchmen, at least, are feeling heat from the backlash in the U. S. The ten French-owned Sofitel hotels in the U. S. have taken down their French flags. The Source says, facetiously we trust, that the owners were worried about “roving gangs of armed WWII veterans looking for a French target to vent their anger on.”
For what it’s worth, between roving gangs of WWII vets and the French, we’d bet on the vets.
