Reader L.G. Harris writes to note that June Carter Cash co-wrote the immortal “Ring of Fire” with Merle Kilgore, the manager of Hank Williams, Jr., not with Johnny Cash. In checking the Web to confirm the song’s writing credit, I came across this interesting account of the song’s composition and recording history: “(Love’s) Ring of Fire.”
