We’ll never have enough of his “silly love songs”

Let me echo Trunk’s birthday greeting to Paul McCartney. A few years ago, I visited Liverpool, mostly to watch my favorite soccer team, Everton. (McCartney is an Everton supporter, as was George Harrison). In my few days there, I came to appreciate the matchless wit and capacity for fun of the “Scousers,” as well as their serious and at times somewhat dark side. McCartney and Lennon truly were “Liverpool lads.”
