City Journal

The Manhattan Institute’s quarterly City Journal is one of the best general interest public policy magazines in the country. The spring issue has just been made available online. As always, the magazine is full of mandatory reading. Two essays to which I’ll be paying special attention are Theodore Dalrymple’s “The roads to serfdom” and Stefan Kanfer’s “Vaudeville’s brief, shining moment.”
