Yesterday’s Chronicle of Higher Education carried “Renegades shake up trustee elections,” an excellent account by Chronicle writer Paul Fain of the trustee elections with insurgent candidates at Dartmouth and Hamilton. The Chronicle has kindly provided us the free link to the article.
Paul Fain interviewed me for the article. When we spoke, Fain mentioned that his interest in the subject had been triggered last year in part by my Standard column “Bucking the deans at Dartmouth.” The Dartmouth administration is not amused by the events recounted in Fain’s article and the counterrevolution has begun in earnest. I’m afraid this is a subject we will have to revisit in coming days.
