When the Edwards campaign decided not to fire chief blogger Amanda Marcotte after all, I wrote that she must be “pretty desperate” to need the job badly enough to “shut up and sing.” I guess I underestimated Marcotte, though, because instead of shutting up, she continued her assault on Catholic sensibilities at her regular blog. And now she has resigned from the Edwards campaign. So we don’t have Marcotte to kick around any more (only edgy leftists will have any reason to read her blog now). But we still have Edwards, who may end up on the wrong side of both religious Catholics and atheistic leftists as a result of this strange affair.
Meanwhile, Michelle Malkin has a good round-up.
