The Miss World pageant is over. The favorite, Miss Russia, Kseniya Sukhinovia, won:
Miss Russia is an engineering student at the Tyumen Oil and Gas University in Siberia. Presumably she will now be able to leave Siberia behind, at least for a while.
The betters got the winner right, but they were off on the rest of the top finishers: India, Trinidad and Tobago, South Africa and Angola, in that order. The pageant was successful on the whole, mainly because of the quality of the top tier of competitors. The event’s organizers say it is the most-watched annual live event in the world, with an audience of over 2 billion.
