Reaganism, New Jersey style

About Chris Christie I feel the way Lincoln did about Grant. Find out what he likes to eat and send him a case. Governor Christie, however, has clearly lost some weight since he was elected, and Joe Scarborough even says he’s looking hot. But it’s what he’s got to say, and the zest with which he says it, that is really hot. Bill McGurn has the back story in today’s Wall Street Journal. McGurn’s column is “Reaganism, New Jersey style.”
On the one hand, if things don’t work out on the political front, Governor Christie can always return to the practice of law. I’m sure he’s good at it. But listening to him take on the teachers’ union in the video below, I’m thinking he might have a career awaiting him in stand-up comedy as well. On the other hand, if he somehow faces down the teachers’ union, he may have a Calvin Coolidge kind of sequel in store.
