Look! Weiner!

Lord knows, the Anthony Weiner saga has been entertaining. Tonight we spent some time with Andrew Breitbart, who is in town for the Right Online conference, and others at a party hosted by James Lileks. The Weiner story was rehashed, with much well-deserved hilarity. Nor, in my view, is the story without significance: it tells us a lot about the arrogance and depravity of certain members of our political culture, and the willingness of media figures to shield that arrogance and depravity from disclosure for partisan reasons.
Still, Weinergate was, at the end of the day, a diversion from more serious issues, both domestic and international. Michael Ramirez reminds us that men who are even worse than Weiner have been happy to have our attention drawn elsewhere; click to enlarge:
