This morning I was on Bill Bennett’s radio show, talking about the trade promotion authority bill that squeaked through the Senate yesterday. Our starting point was this post, in which I urged Republican senators to vote against cloture on the bill. Only five did. The conversation went well beyond the scope of the post, extending to the Trade In Services Agreement as well as the Trans-Pacific Partnership, two measures that will follow rapidly once the trade promotion authority bill is signed into law. These measures are not traditional free trade agreements, and may pose serious dangers to our sovereignty. I think you will find the conversation below of considerable interest.
