I haven’t been able to find the source for this chart, which has rocketed around social media the last few days, but I can think of any number of previous surveys that track with this. And it makes intuitive sense, and sometimes intuition is correct. A nice checklist for which university academic departments to shrink, especially since several of them have declining enrollment.
