My conservative cousin from New York and his conservative wife offer this timely comment about our bowing president:
After seeing President Obama prostrating himself before the King of Saudi Arabia, we couldn’t help but see the similarity between our feckless leader and the fictional US President played by E.G. Marshall in the Superman II movie. In the film, Marshall is compelled to bow before the outlaw General Zod from the planet Krypton in the White House. Zod, played by Terrence Stamp, bellows “Kneel before Zod” and our cowed president with no defense against the Kryptonite’s superpowers, has no alternative but to comply.
The sad part is that our non-fictional president had an alternative to bowing, namely not bowing.
