I’m not much of a political prognosticator, but one prediction I make with some confidence is that John Kerry and his supporters will do everything within their power to stigmatize criticism of Kerry’s extensive senate record. They will say that criticism of his record on security-related issues unfairly impugns his patriotism and is therefore a low blow. The necessity of the Democrats’ running away from, rather than on, Kerry’s record is suggested by Terry McAullife’s appearance on ABC’s “This Week” chat show this morning and the following missive from the Republican National Committee: “Terry’s continuing trouble with the truth.” Here are a couple of items in the GOP bill of particulars:
