The FBI has opened an investigation into the murders of five Americans at Hebrew University. I guess that’s a step in the right direction, but it doesn’t seem like it will take a lot of investigation–Hamas having admitted guilt, and all. John Derbyshire suggested today that our armed forces be directed to consider all Hamas members as “targets of opportunity” to be shot on sight. Seems reasonable, especially if their television spokesmen are included in the order. It’s very weird that a criminal conspiracy devoted to mass murder can have spokesmen in suits and ties who go on television to gloat after every successful homicide. It’s like being a “spokesman” for Charles Manson when he was still at large. Executing those guys would be a starting point.
