Increasingly it seems that “anti-war” protests reflect, at least in part, a world-wide unleashing of evil impulses analogous to a medieval carnival where everything is topsy-turvy, and perversity reigns. Many of the “anti-war” protesters are beyond irrationality; it is hard not to find images like the one below, from an “anti-war” demonstration that took place today in India, frightening.
The English protester shown below apparently thinks he is satirizing Tony Blair. But he reminds me of the Palestinians who murdered an Israeli reservist, then bathed their hands in his blood and danced while they waved their bloody hands before the television cameras.
Sadly, after the unremitting attacks on Blair by the BBC and the rest of the British press, this protester is not alone. Blair’s approval rating has plummeted into negative territory.
