An eagle-eyed Power Line reader appears to have scooped the New York Times on a lead to the identity of the Syrian band on the Jacobsens' flight. In "Angel Band," we noted in the update that a reader had directed us to a Beirut Times notice regarding the appearance of singer Nour Mehanna in Garden Grove, California on July 2.
NRO has posted a column by Clinton Taylor that has the rest of the story, in which Power Line makes a surprise appearance: "The Syrian Wayne Newton."
