The New York Sun has packaged a terrific set of articles “remembering Milton Friedman.” Last month when Columbia Professor Edmund Phelps won the Nobel Prize for Economics, my daughter sought our Professor Friedman for an assessment of the significance of Phelps’s professional accomplishments. His conversation with her must have been one of his last interviews. Her article including Professor Friedman’s gracious comments is in the Sun package here. For excellent perspective on Professor Friedman elswhere in the Sun package, see Seth Lipsky’s “An evening with Milton Friedman” and Amity Shlaes’s “Friedman’s warmth.”
