From Monday through Thursday National Review Online has run Dinesh D’Souza’s response to the conservative critics of his new book The Enemy At Home under the heading “The Closing of the Conservative Mind” (part 1 here, part 2 here, part 3 here, part 4 here). Today his conservative critics respond in “The Enemy D’Souza Knows.” Respondents include Dean Barnett, Peter Berkowitz, me, Roger Kimball, Stanley Kurtz, and Robert Spencer. Victor Davis Hanson — the most prominent of the conservative critics to whom D’Souza’s series responded — devotes his NRO column “The mind of Mr. D’Souza” to D’Souza’s response. Hanson terms D’Souza’s response “suicidal.” You be the judge.
