So much of what we read in newspapers and magazines is written in predigested phrases that have been used so frequently that the act of reading them kills brain cells. The effect is deadening. By contrast, now comes Mark Gauvreau Judge to recall his grandfather in a sentence that has an awakening effect: “Let gramps into the Hall of Fame.” “Gramps” — that’d be the late Washington Senators ballplayer Joe Judge who held down first base for some 15 years. In the video blog below Mark makes a powerful case that his grandfather has been unjustly excluded from the Baseball Hall of Fame, kept out for remarkably petty reasons, and that the injustice should be rectified.
