…are worth a look even though a few days old. The poll data I’ve seen mostly suggest that the Petraeus/Crocker appearance and surrounding news coverage had little impact on the public. That is consistent with the hypothesis that most people have made up their minds about Iraq, and the only thing likely to change them is clear evidence of change in the situation on the ground. So that events are in the saddle, as they have been for some time.
