Urban Wildlife

We live in a neighborhood with quite a bit of wildlife. We see coyotes, foxes, deer of course, and lots of birds: eagles, hawks, wild turkeys, owls and many more. Last summer we had to deal with a hawk that tried to build a nest on our house.
This spring it’s an owl–a great horned owl, I’m not sure whether he has a mate or not. But we hear him hooting all the time and have often seen him in the trees around our house. Tonight I was home alone and heard the hooting; I looked out my kitchen window and there he was, looking at me. It was almost dusk, but I grabbed my camera and got this photo:
