This is the title of a terrific, must-read piece out now from Robert Tracinski of The Intellectual Activist, in which he calls our attention to the work of Danish physicist Henrik Svensmark. The article reviews the evidence of the cosmic ray theory of climate change that we discussed here at some length back in August (“Maybe the Sun Has Something to Do With It?“), when the CERN study that bears on the issue was released. Tracinski notes the irony that while many warmenists cite Galileo, they’ve got it backwards, since Svensmark’s hypothesis is heliocentric (like Galileo), while it is the warmenists—a church establishment of their own in many ways—who champion the terrestrial-centric view of climate that so resembles pre-Copernican cosmology. (Tracinski also reviews the BEST study that has been misunderstood and misrepresented.)
