Obama’s Katrina?

If we had a truly objective and unbiased media (I know–stifle those guffaws), we’d surely see some comparisons of the official performance of Obama’s FEMA (reformed, streamlined, and nimble, Obama assured us) with President Bush after Katrina.  Bush was pounded nonstop, of course.  Obama, Gov. Cuomo, and Mayor Bloomberg–not so much.

FEMA has run out of water in the affected area, and won’t get any more until tomorrow.  Instead it is asking for more private sector help, sort of like what that Romney guy has said ought to happen.  Staten Island appears a plausible substitute for New Orleans’ now legendary ninth ward.  But as Staten Island is the one borough of New York that has a lot of Republicans, it’s okay if they suffer.  A similar situation is reported in Far Rockaway Beach, where there is apparently looting.

Politicians, especially Democrats, must be double jointed.  How else could they get so skilled at patting themselves on the back.  Again, if we had an objective media, the harsh criticism of Bush after Katrina, when he was unfairly blamed for the massive shortcomings of state and local government officials in corrupt Louisiana, would be dished out now to Cuomo, Bloomberg, Obama, and the mayor of Atlantic City.  But as usual, there is only one news outlet that is doing such a job.  Yup, you guessed it.  Kudos to Neil Cavuto:
