What Goes Around, Comes Around: Hillary Ducks a Shoe

Remember how much the Democrats loved it when George W. Bush was doing a speech or press conference in Iraq, and a jihadist who had slipped into the audience threw a shoe at him? Bush dodged the shoe with an athletic move, but the liberals ate it up. Well, eventually the shoe is on the other foot, so to speak, and tonight Hillary Clinton was addressing a trade group in Las Vegas–for a hefty fee, I assume–when someone in the audience fired a shoe at her. Here is the elderly and far from athletic Hillary, just after she dodged the shoe:

The shoe-thrower was a woman and apparently an interloper:

Mark Carpenter, a spokesman for the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, which hosted the speech, said that the woman was not affiliated with the event.

“Our staff denied her access before she later rushed past security. An ISRI staffer then stopped her as she approached the stage. She was then handed over to law enforcement,” Carpenter said.

For the record, I am opposed to disrupting, shouting down, or throwing things at speakers. This woman, likely just a nut, should be criminally prosecuted. But the Democrats seem unwilling to understand that, having been in power for the last five-plus years, they must expect that if someone throws shoes, it will be at them. They don’t want to acknowledge that they have been in power for a long time, and they must take responsibility for the baleful effects of their policies. Weird as it may seem, they appear to believe that they can run against themselves, indefinitely.

STEVE adds: Who throws a shoe, anyway?  Austin Powers wonders:
