Earlier this morning I summarized the briefing of White House Director of Legislative Affairs Marc Short in support of the omnibus spending bill that has been negotiated among the powers that be in Congress and the administration, presumably including OMB Director Mick Mulvaney. President Trump has now addressed the bill himself via Twitter (below). You don’t have to be an oracle to deduce that Trump himself is ambivalent about it at best. He certainly wants us to understand that he’s not happy with it. However, you may have to possess oracular powers to deduce what he will do about it or to figure out what happens next.
