You have probably heard that Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg has launched a campaign to ban the word “bossy,” which she thinks is discriminatory toward girls. Or something like that. It turns out that Ms. Sandberg is a Hillary Clinton supporter and donor, which has prompted speculation that her “ban bossy” campaign is battlespace preparation for the 2016 campaign. Because “bossy” is one of the words beginning with a B that come to mind when you think about Hillary.
If–who am I kidding?–when Hillary runs in 2016, I suspect we will be seeing a lot of that image.
There is more bossiness in the news, as the Obama administration is desperately trying to hector young people into signing up for Obamacare. Their latest ploy is the “angry mom,” apparently intended to put the fear of God into the youthful deadbeats who haven’t yet done their civic duty. If the angry mom is Pajama Boy’s mother, I think we can understand why he turned out to be such a wimp.
The original angry mom Twitter image was immediately tinkered with, of course. John Hayward corrected the ad for honesty, as he put it:
I dunno. She sure scares me, but probably not enough to bully me into signing up for Obamacare. Still, if the Democrats seriously want to ban bossy, I am all for it!
